Lesbian fronted rock-band to play at Mr Kyps!'Never The Bride' return to Mr Kyps Live Music Venue in Poole on Saturday 29th March.

They’ve supported The Who, played with the likes of Alice Cooper, Roger Daltrey and Paul Rodgers, toured the UK, USA, Europe and Australia, and had their music covered by Shirley Bassey. What’s more, both Nikki Lambourn (vocals) and Catherine (Been) Feeney (guitars and composition) are in happy gay marriages and are outspoken proponents of equal rights for gay and heterosexual couples.

Nikki's powerful presence and strong vocals have seen her described as Tina Turner and Robert Plant rolled into one. Roger Daltrey of The Who credited her with “the best female rock voice since Janis Joplin; and I know what I'm talking about, I knew Janis.”

Venue owner Kyp cites the band as one of his favourites to appear at the venue, due to both the quality of their music and exuberant personality of Nikki.

Never The Bride’s song ‘The Living Tree’ was released as a single by Shirley Bassey, as well as comprising part of her 2007 Glastonbury Festival performance, where she invited Nikki onstage to personally thank her. A fine testament to the quality of singing and songwriting skills that will be on display to anyone who attends the gig on 29th March.

Mr Kyps is a 300 capacity venue and has earnt a reputation as one of the best places in the area in which to enjoy live music presented in high quality surroundings with a friendly atmosphere.
