Studland is a local nudist beach popular with the gay community, a long sweep of golden sand, with good facilities provided by the National Trust.

To get to Studland beach, take the chain ferry from Sandbanks to Shell Bay. There are several car parks and a National Trust visitor centre just a short walk from the beach.

From Studland there is an easy walk to Old Harry Rocks and access to the rest of the Purbecks.

Studland was made (even more) famous in 2003 by a documentary about the National Trust and how it manages Studland, including the nudist section of the beach.

For more information about the reserve, see the National Trust Studland page.
